St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church.
The day was bleak and overcast, and out of nowhere whilst driving along Port Road, I spied this beautiful church and pulled over to have a look at it.
It has 3 main entrances all with domes and fronted with sparkly wonderful mosaics. They are huge and look amazing. The Minister- and please forgive my ignorance if I am referring to him with the wrong terms...... was getting ready for a wedding and I had arrived at exactly the wrong time, yet he was so gracious, and kind, and proud of his beautiful church that he insisted I come inside and see all the painting on the inside while I was there.
He made me feel most welcome, and the sight of this church really is something to behold. I felt uncomfortable taking photos inside, and had he not been so rushed I maybe would have asked if it was okay to photograph.
If you are in the area on any Sunday at 10a.m, you will find this Church filled with people, and with an elevated choir singing their hearts out. It is a service where everyone is welcome. It is worth the visit just to see the magnificence of this wonderful Church.

There is no indication to me who the mosaic artist is, but he or she is very talented, and must feel proud to see his/her work in all its glory.
I have since acquired some literature about the Church and its history and am hoping to find out the creator of these magnificent mosaics.
Blessings to everyone and I say a prayer for all those displaced in our world at the moment due to natural disasters and war and circumstance. Be brave.
